E V E N   T H E   W A L L S   is a short documentary gives a voice to members of a Seattle public-¬≠housing neighborhood grappling with the forces of gentrification. As the city begins to tear down the neighborhood and relocate residents, the film explores the diversity of experiences had while living in Yesler Terrace.

I was brought in early in pre-production on this short documentary film, meeting with the directorial team, cinematographer, and subjects, to get thoroughly into the emotional center of the film.

With the directors, I worked to translate those emotions into a sonic vocabulary consisting primarily of ambient, heavily-effected guitar and close-mic’d piano.
